Online Course Finish Date

Enter the lectures you have left, the playback speed, the hours you can watch each day and the days you study. The tool gives you a finish date, and with a target date it shows the time you need each day.

Work out the finish date

Everything is worked out on this device. Nothing you enter is saved or sent.

Leave blank for today. If it is a day you study, it counts as the first day.

0.1 to 24

Example: 1 hour 30 minutes is 90. Leave out lectures you have already watched.

1 to 2

Days you study

Example

With 600 minutes of lectures at 2× speed, the real playing time is 300 minutes. At 1 hour a day that needs 5 study days. If you study on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, those five days take roughly a week and a half to two weeks. Press “Load an example” to try it.

How it works

The remaining minutes are divided by the playback speed, and then by the time you can watch per day, rounding up to whole study days. The tool then walks forward from the start date, counting only the days you study.

It is a reference plan. It does not check the course’s deadline or what counts as completed, and it cannot promise that you will finish.

Frequently asked questions

How do I enter the lectures that are left?

Enter the number of lectures and their average length, or the total minutes left. If you enter the total, it is used instead of the other two. Enter 90 for 1 hour 30 minutes, and leave out lectures you have already watched. The tool only shortens the playback time by the speed; it does not add time for notes, exercises or rewinding.

How are the days I do not study handled?

Study hours are given only to the days you pick. If the start date is one of them, it counts as the first day. The last day counts as a full study day even if less than a day’s worth remains. If you pick no days, the tool asks you to choose again, and plans longer than 10 years are not calculated.

How much time do I need each day to hit a target date?

Pick a target date and the tool counts the study days from the start date to the target, then divides the remaining playing time by that count. The target date counts if it is a study day. If it needs more time than you entered, add study time or add days.

How reliable is the finish date?

It is the date if your plan holds. It does not apply any study-efficiency standard or the course’s completion rules, and the platform’s own limits on speed and attendance come first. Some content works better at a lower speed, and time spent pausing to understand is not counted.
